Piatra Craiului Mountains

The name of the mountain is in fact the name of the wonderful flower « Dianthus callizonus ». Some have called it natural fortress of stone, surrounded by green belt of forests and modest but picturesque localities in which true-born Romanian spirit is found everywhere. Crai proud neighbors are Iezer-dolls consist of a high crown and barren peaks, sometimes exceed 2300-2400 m. FIRST DAY :Start point Oradea , Cluj or Brasov – Bran – We are visiting Dracula’s castle(we’ll stay overnight in tent or chalet depending on weather conditions).Travel time : 8 hours. The trip is made by bus or train. SECOND DAY : Bran – Moeciu – The bats cave – Chalet Curmatura (we’ll stay overnight in tent or chalet depending on weather conditions) .Travel time :around 6 hours.
