City Overview – Shore excursion (panoramic tour)

Much more than you think can be covered in 4h, either if you are stopping here for the morning with a cruise or if you just arrived in town and need to get an idea of which areas you’d like to go back to and explore them on your own. Here is a suggested itinerary for a 4h panoramic tour (outside of the buildings only), if we are having a car/minivan with driver: – MONTJUIC HILL: City views, Olympic facilities including Stadium, 1992 World Fair & Plaça Espanya. – GOTHIC QUARTER: Cathedral, Plaça del Rei with medieval Royal Palace, Plaça Sant Jaume with City Council and Generalitat Catalan Government, roman ruins, medieval alleys and squares. – GAUDÍ SITES & MODERNISM: Passeig de Gràcia in Eixample district, Block of Disagreement (Casa Batlló, Casa Ametller, Casa Lleó Morera), Sagrada Família Church. – 1888 WORLD FAIR: Ciutadella Park and Arch of Triumph. – WATERFRONT: Port Vell (Old Port) & Columbus circle, Barceloneta fishermen district, beaches, Olympic village and marina. >> 380 euro/4h. Transportation in private minivan/car with driver, included. There will be no time to enter sites if we stick to this suggested itinerary, but we can choose to enter your favorite site (knowing we’ll have to rule out some other area in its place…). In this case, entrance fees are not included. *** Possibility of moving around by taxi/subway, in which case we’d be limited to the Gothic Quarter and the Gaudí sites only. >> 215 euro/4h. Taxi/subway rides and entrance fees, if any, are not included.
