Overview

This 10 days tour gives you a golden opportunity to see Kenya’s wildlife in a special way. We visit world class national parks and reserves where we get close to the beautiful and diverse wildlife and sceneries.

We visit: Aberdare National Park, Hell’s Gate National Park, Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park.

Among the animals we will see on this safari are: Leopards, Lions, Cheetahs, Hyenas, Rhinos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Hippos, Antelopes, Zebras, monkeys, crocodiles and hundreds of bird species.

If this tour is taken between June and October every year you will witness one of the wonders of the world by watching the spectacular wildebeest migration in Maasai Mara. About 2 million wildebeest cross river Mara from Serengeti National Park. While they cross, predators like lions and crocodiles prey on them in plenty but they are just too many.

Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdare National Park
Depart Nairobi for Aberdare National Park arriving in the Ark Lodge in time for lunch. Ark Lodge is a unique tree lodge with a veranda that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and saltlick allowing undisturbed views of wildlife visiting the waterhole. Resembling and named after Noah's Ark, the Lodge is designed with 'decks' from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing. A ground level bunker provides excellent photographic opportunities and takes you closer than you would believe possible to the wildlife. In each room, a buzzer system will alert you when there is something special to see, such as a leopard that might sneak to the floodlit waterhole in the dead of night.
Dinner & overnight at Ark Lodge

Day 2: Aberdare
Explore Aberdares visiting Karuru water fall, the highest in Kenya with our picnic lunches. The park harbours one of the biggest populations of the gravely endangered black rhino in the country. It offers the best opportunities to see the bongo, that rare, gorgeous forest antelope. It is also one of the best places to see leopards in Kenya - probably second only to Samburu National Reserve.
Dinner & overnight at Ark Lodge
Day 3: Lake Naivasha
We drive to Lake Naivasha.
Lake Naivasha and its surrounds are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya’s prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo populations sleep the day out in the shallows.
Dinner & overnight at Lake Naivasha Cresent camp
Day 4: Hell’s Gate National Park
We explore the park on bicycles or vehicle. We will find out why it is called Hell’s Gate.
Dinner & overnight at Lake Naivasha Cresent camp

Day 5, 6, 7 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Our next destination is to the Masai Mara Game Reserve; the site of one of the most spectacular phenomenon of the natural world -The Great Annual Wildebeest Migration. Fêted as one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”, this cross border event, is one of the last great migrations, and a unique world heritage. The Mara is Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary.
In the months of June to October each year, the wildebeests in their troops arrive at the Kenyan border, ready to cross the steep banks of the broad and fast flowing Mara River. This crossing is truly the greatest episode of the entire migration. Hot on their heels are the predators of the savannah –lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The banks of the Mara River provide one of the best vantage points to witness the drama. The Mara also offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will most likely see the Big Five- lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant
Dinner & overnight at Keekorok Lodge
Day 8: Amboseli National Park
We drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in the evening at Kibo Safari Camp.
Dinner & overnight at Lake Kibo Safari Camp

Day 9: Amboseli National Park.
We explore Amboseli whole day. Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species
