Overview

Hi, my name is Ann, and I am offering You the 3h Helsinki Biking Tour in English. It is just so much nicer to visit a new place on your journey with a knowledgeable and friendly local, do you agree?! So why be all on your own?! Plus, on a public tour, you have a great chance to meet other participants and possibly get new travel pals, isn’t it fantastic?!

On this tour, we will cover the larger historical area of Helsinki and will have a chance to see the Finnish Icebreakers and will admire the Unesco Heritage Site Suomenlinna Fortress, located on a nearby island, from the mainland distance, will bike to the amazing and famous Sibelius monument, which, according to all the major traveling sites, is a must-see in Helsinki, will enjoy coastal views of the city, and experience both the urbanity and the nature that form Helsinki.

I am a licensed Helsinki guide and I have conducted various tours for quite a while. My guiding style is « educative and entertaining », meaning that you will have loads of facts presented in an easy, fun, and friendly manner. I am knowledgeable in various fields, but my tours are not boring history lessons. Instead, we will have a lively narrative and discussion, and I promise you: YOU will WANT to know more!

We will rent city bikes from the bike station right next to the Central Train Station. Helsinki bikes are part of the public transportation in Helsinki, just like a bus or a metro, but you need to register to the provider’s database. Here is the link: https://www.hsl.fi/en/citybikes/helsinki/instructions   When registering, choose a daily pass that costs €5 and follow the clear instructions on their site. (This payment is NOT part of the tour price, it is separately paid by you and you can use the bike for 24h, so you can use it on your own the entire day after the tour).

This biking tour is designed for individuals, families, friends, and smaller groups, and is a perfect choice for you if you want to see the city without renting a private car, yet not waste time and energy on too much walking around. In any case, I can ensure you that you will have great memories when you get back home!

PS: Don’t forget your camera, we are gonna take some great shots of YOU BEING IN HELSINKI!

Bikes can be replaced with scooters!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Helsinki, the capital of a country up in the North on the World Map, has a lot to offer. It has a unique nordic charm, it is coastal, comfortably compact, and safe. People speak a very strange-sounding language here, yet almost everyone speaks English. We have light nights in summer and dark days in winter. And guess what: we have been officially titled "the happiest people in the World" for several years in a row! Come to experience it with me!
  • As a person who is very passionate about history, art, architecture, and overall – beauty around us and a person who loves to share her knowledge and inspiration, I also love to meet other cultures and exchange our knowledge about this beautiful and diverse world. So, come to have fun with me on my tour and get a touch of the old and modern sides of the atmospheric Helsinki city!
