Vojvodina Private Tour

On this tour we will visit Vojvodina, which lies in the Pannonian plain and where 26 different nations live together. In the National Park of Fruska Gora, we will visit Krusedol Monastery, considered one of the most important cultural centres of Serbians during the 18th and 19th centuries. Later we will have a walk through Sremski Karlovci, the spiritual, political and cultural centre of Serbs during the Habsburg Monarchy. This charming baroque town is famous for its wine production and especially for their Bermet dessert wine. During the Habsburg Empire town authorities used this wine as a bribe to soften Austrian authorities. Afterwards we will visit the Petrovaradin fortress, built by Habsburg Empire during 99 years as a military fort to reinforce their defence against the Ottomans. It has been called the “Gibraltar on the Danube” and built on a high cliff which overlooks the Danube and the town of Novi Sad. At the end we will walk through the old part of the town of Novi Sad and stroll through its narrow side streets lined with beautiful multi-coloured historical buildings and enjoy the slow pace and relaxed atmosphere. In the city centre you will see many historical buildings of different architectural periods, and most of them house various institutions, museums and galleries.
