The west viewpoints of Lisbon

In this tour we can walk the whole time or we can use the public elevators of Lisbon depending if you have the daily ticket or not. We start in the Restauradores Square at the end (or beginning) of the Liberdade Avenue with a very romantic atmosphere, going up the hill until our first viewpoint – the S. Pedro de Alcântara. From here you´ll see the modern Lisbon, the Castle of S. George, down town, the river Tagus, the other river bank… After zigzagging in Bairro Alto the center of Lisbon´s night life, we lead us to Carmo Square, an historical, cozy square with lots of jacaranda trees and the ruins of the Carmo Convent as background. Behind it we stop for a photo to enjoy the view from the Elevador Sta Justa. Next stop will be the Largo do Camões reminding us the best Portuguese writer and soon we´ll reach the Sta Catarina´s terrace. Here you can sit down at the kiosk, relax und prepare you camera for shooting the river, the statue of Christ and the old bridge.
